Before Adult Crash became a podcast I originally used it as a title for some comic strips I put out through Razorcake magazine that you can find below…
But now Adult Crash is its own thing! Adult Crash is a coming of middle age memoir that explores my fractured family’s complicated experience following the death of my father that offers a unique view on how personal loss intersects with class, where not all who mourn are treated as equal. It also follows my years as a house cleaner in Philly and I sort of act as a tour guide into the lives of the folks whose homes he cleans while inviting the reader to snoop around his own messy messy life.
It has a little bit of Gilmore Girls rags/riches vibe along with some elements of mystery and a violent past that skew into noir-ish territory, so it is a bit of a “mem-noir.”
